MAVERICK RAY

Bio

Maverick Ray was born and raised in the Houston area. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University and then went on to pursue his law degree at South Texas College of Law in Houston.

While at South Texas, Maverick excelled academically, graduating number five in his class and finishing a semester early. He was assured of his life calling while studying criminal trial tactics with the esteemed Judge Lawrence Gist. Under Judge Gist’s guidance, Maverick gained a feel for the courtroom and began to learn the art of successful persuasion. Maverick interned at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, where he spent over a year gaining insight into the criminal process. During this time, Maverick tried numerous cases before juries and judges, argued motions to suppress, handled multiple hearings, and argued motions for new trials. One recurring theme during all his trial experience – Winning. Maverick never lost a case despite going up against the top defense attorneys in Texas.  

In June 2013 Maverick founded and started Maverick Ray & Associates. He has over 10 years of trial experience. As a defense attorney Maverick believes preparation and investigation are the keys to success. His clients rave about his involvement and communication in every case. His clients value and admire his involvement and communication in every case. Throughout the years, he has developed special techniques to uncover the flaws in the cases presented by the State and caught the errors in the officers’ arrests which have led to multiple dismissals.

Maverick is known for his high dismissal rate, reaching over 2,716 dismissals to date in his career (and counting). Alexis A. Gonzalez

Bio

Alexis A. Gonzalez is from Edinburg, Texas located in the Rio Grande Valley. She received her Bachelor Degree in Interpersonal Communication Professional Writing at the University of Texas at San Antonio. During her time in college, she interned with the congressman of the 21st district and worked for a personal injury defense firm.

She went on to pursue her law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law while clerking for a probate firm and representing clients as the lead student attorney in the Family Law Clinic.

After law school, Alexis joined a prominent personal injury firm in downtown Houston where she developed and litigated motor vehicle accident cases against unfair insurance companies.

From the onset of her career, she has quickly and aggressively represented clients through high-stakes product liability, premise liability, and wrongful death cases—traveling to over 10 counties statewide in advocacy for those impacted by their life-altering events. With a commitment to thorough preparation and keen understanding of her clients' needs, Alexis brings a depth of fresh insight and dedication that keeps her in rooms with seasoned attorneys.

Having lost her own parent to a catastrophic work injury during her time in law school, Alexis profoundly understands the challenges her clients face. As a result, her personal experience largely contributes to the unmatched dedication and commitment to her clients. She is known for placing a high priority on client communication and making sure her clients are guided throughout the complexities of their case while under her representation.

Her unmatched empathy and tenacity for every case is simply evident in her work ethic and advocacy for her clients in and out of the courtroom.

In addition to her legal career, she serves as the Vice President of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and actively uses social media on her downtime to provide the community with road safety tips, updates on the rights of Texas drivers, and other facts related to personal injury.

Savannah Luna

Bio

Savannah Luna is a native Houstonian who graduated from Spring High School. She went on to attend Texas State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a minor in Criminal Justice. Savannah then earned her law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, graduating Cum Laude and standing out as the only member of her class to graduate with a Criminal Law Certificate.

Following law school, Savannah returned to Houston to pursue her dream job of defending those accused of crimes. In less than two years, she has tried over 25 jury trials, developing a reputation for combing through the State’s evidence piece by piece, leaving no stone unturned. Her vibrant personality is unmistakable. You can find Savannah, with her blue-highlighted hair and pink outfits, in the Harris County Courthouse every day, aggressively fighting for clients and defending their constitutional rights.

Since becoming a lawyer, Savannah has focused primarily on DWI defense, where she has helped secure multiple dismissals and “not guilty” verdicts at trial. If there is a way to win, Savannah will find it—she is a fighter through and through. Her clients know her for her relentless preparation, fearless courtroom presence, and unwavering commitment to securing the best outcome in every case.
